I moved to South Lake in Winter of 2002-3 from the North Bay, where I grew up. I studied fine art and computer art at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco , graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Computer Arts in 2002. In 2003 I focused on large oil paintings and had a Show in the Auqua Hotel in Bay Area in 2006. Ive been making pottery and sculptures since college and have my own kiln and wheel at my garage studio in Gardnerville. I also carve wooden and linoleum block prints in which I apply ink or watercolor and hand print upon parchment or bristol. Illustration and inking have always been a primary passion for exploring my artistic creativity. In Ink I strive to perfect the images in my head. Inspired by comics of my early youth I had some of my comic artwork and inks successfully published and self published many times in 2015 to 2016 under the name Victor Virmis. Creating my own Zines to display my own artwork and comics was a dream I made happen. The wide variety of mediums that I make use of are always just extensions of my creativity and expression. I focus more on feeling than realism.
