I’ve been pleased to name painting and ceramics as viable career ventures of mine, even though the path has meandered all over the map. My professional artistry includes face and body painting, signage and seasonal window art, and sculptures and other clay works on commission and in local galleries. Ask me about some of the other jobs I’ve had, though, and you could hear about anything from ice-cream trucks to tax adventures or grassroots community organizing. 

I graduated from an Environmental Science program at the University of Michigan, just an hour from my hometown. I moved to Tahoe in 2016 after visiting a relative here once, drawn by the combination of mountain splendor and water big enough to evoke those Great Lakes back east. Finding this beautiful, art-loving community has been a goal realized, and I enjoy the creative opportunities and calls to action that working with HVS has offered. Other artistic interests include upcycling-based bricolage, pencil/marker/pastel illustrating, and wood-block printmaking… I look forward to a lifetime’s worth of various arts inspired by nature and fantasy.
